Who we are

The research lab of Pharmaceutical Economics, Big Data Analysis & Policy at Kyung Hee University conducts research in pharmacoeconomics (such as cost-effectiveness), health outcomes research, pharmacoepidemiology (including drug safety and drug utilization patterns), and policy on health technologies (such as drugs, diagnostics, and devices) and pharmaceutical services (such as pharmacists’ consultation). Most of researches are based on big-data analytics.

The overall goal of this research lab is to enhance understanding of pharmaceuticals and generate evidence that improves health care decisions for patients, pharmacists, physicians, government organizations, and industry.

Based on these evidences, we make suggestions to be embedded in health/pharmaceutical policy to enhance the current system and efficiently manage the healthcare system.

The demand for skilled analysts in pharmaceutical economics, outcomes research, and health policy research currently far exceeds the supply, and this situation is expected to continue into the forseeable future. Employment opportunities are particularly favorable in government organizations, such as Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA), Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, pharmaceutical companies, academia, and research institutes.
